Basic settings

On the basic settings page, you will be presented with a long list of options from which you can customise your server. This can be overwhelming for new owners at first, so let’s review the settings which are available to you, section-by-section:

Name

This controls the name of your server, and what will appear on the in-game server list.

Password

This determines a password for the server, which players will need to enter before joining.

Platform

You can make a server accessible to all players (Crossplay) , or restrict it to players on a specific console platform.

Welcome Message

Welcome message to greet players when they join the server. Admins will also receive this message. Accepts regular text, adhering to profanity guidelines.

First-Time Join Message

Message sent to all players when a player joins for the first time.

Just Joined Message

Message sent to all players when a player joins every time they enter the server. Accepts regular text, adhering to profanity guidelines.

Left Message

Message sent to all players when a player leaves the server.

Rage Quit Message

Message sent to all players when someone "Rage Quits". Rage-quitting is when a player leaving after dying in the game.

Admin Message

Message shown exclusively Admins when they join the server.

Admin Broadcast

This will turn on or turn off a broadcast message that appears in the chat box when Admins perform actions, such as activating NoClip, God Mode.

Enable Whitelist

This toggle will enable the Whitelist function, allowing only Whitelisted players to join the server.

Player Report Cooldown

This option allows the owner to set the cooldown for multiple reports from other players. Once a user has submitted a report, they will not be able to create another until the cooldown has expired.

Name

This controls the name of your server, and what will appear on the in-game server list.

Input

Any name you like, as long as it adheres to profanity guidelines.

Notes

While it will appear as a valid entry on GPORTAL, players on console won’t be able to see your server name in game if it gets censored. Characters will be replaced by * - so make sure to keep it clean!

Server Colours

Users can edit the text colour of their server name, which is useful for making your server stand out in the list.

You can change the colour of your server name by entering the following information into the "Name" box of the GPORTAL Server Settings area.

You can also mix and match colours by using more than one colour space. For example:


Password

This determines a password for the server, which players will need to enter before joining.

Input

Any password you like, as long as it adheres to profanity guidelines. Keep this empty for no password.

Notes

While it will appear as a valid entry on GPORTAL, players on console won’t be able to use this password if it gets censored, so make sure to keep it clean!

Platform

You can make a server accessible to all players (Crossplay) or restrict it to players on a specific console platform.

Crossplay is visible to all player. Servers set to a specific platform will be invisible to players on other platforms.

Welcome Message

Notes

You can set the list of Whitelisted players in the Custom Boot Commands section. There is also a Whitelisted players list in-game, for viewing only, managing the list is only available on the G-Portal website.

Any number, the default is 5. Numbers represent real world minutes.
